As
well as the 14 YGDAI slots, where you can insert passive cards
such as the Audio-service AS8P, there are 4, smaller supplementary
slots that allow the insertion of further cards, this time
passive asynchronous cards of type AS9P. These are all in
AES/EBU format. These 4 extra slots extend the matrix by 32
more inputs and outputs, for the use of extra asynchronous
equipment. |
The
use of all of the 14 card slots with active YGDAI interface
cards allows a configuration of 112 inputs and 112 outputs. |

In
each of the 20 available slots we can insert active YGDAI
interface cards (except MADI interface cards).
When the DAIS PLUS is used (and ONLY in passive matrix mode),
up to 20 AS8P type cards can be inserted. In this way, a configuration
of up to 160 inputs and outputs can be achieved that can all
be administered by software. |

In
the MADI system the 4 extra passive slots are not available,
so therefore it can only be configured using the AS8P interface
cards. For the DAIS MADI 32 system the maximum configuration
is 104x104 I/O, and again smaller for the MADI 64 system. |
The
13 available slots (12 in the case of the MADI 64) can be
used with the above-mentioned interface cards, along with
the corresponding MADI interface. This allows a maximum configuration
of 136 inputs and 136 outputs with the system MADI 32 and
160 inputs and 160 outputs with the MADI 64 system.
